VaultBeauty Allows You To Connect With Salon & Mobile Beauty Professionals Near You

As a client, have you ever wanted a platform where you could see profiles for all local beauty professionals in one place? I know I have. As a professional, have you ever wanted your name showcased on such a platform? Now, thanks to the VaultBeauty (@Vault_Beauty) app, that is all possible. VaultBeauty allows you to browse makeup, hair, nail, tanning, and lash & brow professionals by location and see their hours, prices, portfolios, how to book appointments, and you can text or call the pro directly through the app. VaultBeauty is free to download and use for clients and allows you to search almost 500 professionals on the site throughout dozens of different cities in the U.S. and Canada. You simply type in your city or zip code, select the service you want, then browse all of the professionals near you.

VaultBeauty’s founder and CEO, Courtney Summers, is a makeup and spray tan artist who got the idea to launch the app when she was eight months pregnant and wasn’t able to travel with a client who needed her services. “I wasn’t able to travel with a client and needed to find a makeup artist for her and it was surprisingly difficult. Even with my resources as an artist I wasn’t able to find the right artist for her. I had never been in the client’s shoes and didn’t realize there was this hole in the market until that moment.” So during the last month of pregnancy, Courtney kept herself busy by mocking up a design for the app and putting it on a website. She later found a design team to work with in New York to fully build the website which went on to launch in March 2020.

Although the app launched just as the beauty industry had to stop working due to Covid-19, Courtney is managing to look on the bright side of things and she sees quarantine as an opportunity for beauty professionals to take a step back and reevaluate their business tactics and approach to building their clientele. “I think this is the perfect time for artists to do all things that they have never had time to do before,” the founder says.  “A few examples would be to expand their knowledge on the business side of the industry, create new content, focus and perfect their craft. All these things can help build clientele once the artists are able to work again.” And of course, another way for artists to continue to build clientele is to make a profile on VaultBeauty. And to truly show support and solidarity with her fellow artists, the app is currently free to download and use as artists are out of work, but will later be subscription-based and cost less than $10 a month.

For those artists looking to really get the most out of their VaultBeauty profile, Courtney suggests focusing on using pictures that showcase past work and reviews from past clients. The combination of having a visual representation of your work combined with the opinions that potential clients can relate to, will really help to boost your clientele.

As for potential clients using the apps, rest assured knowing that all professionals featured on the app have to have the appropriate licenses for their services in order to create an account — something a simple Google search won’t tell you. And when it comes to new sanitation procedures as a result of Covid, all professionals are able to list their sanitation practices right on their profile.

Whether you’re a beauty professional looking for new ways to book potential clients or a customer looking to book with a professional in your area — wherever that may be —I’d download VaultBeauty now to check as the brand is rapidly growing its presence nationwide (it quadrupled its artist network between March and June).
