Glow Getter: Isabel Vita, Celebrity Spray Tan Artist & Dolce Glow Founder
If you follow celebrities like Kim and Khloe Kardashian, JLo, Cardi B, or Olivia Culpo (just to name a few), on social media, then you’ve likely seen some of Isabel Vita’s work. And while the celebrity spray tan artist has a client list that includes some of the world’s most famous celebrities, (and ultimately a very demanding schedule), she has also founded one of the most sought-after professional solution brands and education courses with Dolce Glow. All of this and Isabel is also a devoted mother, wife, and genuinely kind person who is dedicated to sharing her craft and empowering other women to start their own sunless business. “I love empowering other women to be entrepreneurs [to] own their own businesses. Spray tanning for me was life-changing and I’m so grateful to be able to help other women change their lives as well,” she says in an exclusive interview with The Tan Bible.

About Isabel:
Years in the industry?: 5 years
How did you get started?: I woke up one day and decided I wanted to spray tan and own my own business.
Favorite memory from a tanning appointment/event?: A couple of my favorite memories were tanning Kim Kardashian for the 2019 Met Gala and Cardi B for the “WAP” music video.
Can you recall a time you faced a challenge during an event or appointment and how you overcame it?: Challenges happen all the time! Thank god my clients are extremely flexible and I have a great team that always make it work.
Do you have a moment you're particularly proud of when you felt the most fulfilled?: I’m so proud seeing Dolce Glow evolve into the brand it’s become and as it continues to grow. It has allowed me to teach women across the globe from Taiwan to Croatia.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?: The more work you put into anything, the better the results you’ll get out of it.
First Dolce Glow product you developed?: Dolce Glow Original Solution which also happens to be my favorite because it’s the perfect tan, without overdoing it.
What advice would you give to new artists?: Believe and invest in yourself!

Something you want potential customers to know about the thought process that goes into developing the solution?: Take your time, sample out everything, try it on yourself and your family, and pay attention to ingredients so you know what’s in your spray tan and what you’re using on your clients.
If you had to pick one out of spraying your clients, developing Dolce Glow, or hosting spray tan classes, which one would it be?: I would have to choose hosting spray tan classes because I love empowering other women to be entrepreneurs [to] own their own businesses. Spray tanning for me was life-changing and I’m so grateful to be able to help other women change their lives as well.
How do you juggle your clients, the brand, the education program, on top of being a mother and wife? Do you have any advice to other artists in the same boat?:I have an amazing team and a supportive husband who all pick up the pieces I can’t get to. It should be said that although I have a great team, I am extremely hands on with every Dolce Glow project/task so time management is key along with having a trustworthy team.
What is one major lesson you hope your students walk away with after training?: That they are empowered to start their own business and encouraged to do it.
Can you talk about the importance of investing in your education in the industry? Yes, it’s extremely important to know what you spend on your education will always come back in return. The key to a good spray tan is technique along with the solution you’re using. Investing in your education is just as important as investing in a good solution. Knowing what you’re using will make the biggest difference in the final outcome.
