The Nashville-based celebrity spray tan artist, hair stylist, and co-founder of Halo Salon and Halo Glo Tan consistently gives the musician — along with other Nashville stars — a lust-worthy glow. Haley’s work has graced red carpets, magazine pages, fashion runways, and major advertisements and she credits her success to being genuine and staying true to herself.

How did you get your start in the industry?: I loved tanning so much! I just wanted to make women feel beautiful and have the convenience of not leaving their home to get a tan!
What were your initial steps in starting your career in beauty?: Just perfecting my craft and marketing myself!
What has been the most challenging part of being an entrepreneur? The most rewarding/exciting part?: The most challenging part has been how unpredictable your schedule can be and going to the late night house calls!
The most exciting part and rewarding is seeing my work in magazines, Times Square, and other amazing places —and just making women feel beautiful!
Best piece advice you’ve ever received (in business or in life)?: Be true to yourself (cheesy I know). Being genuine and your true self will take you way farther than anything.
Your absolute favorite product or service you offer?: Airbrushed tans are my favorite. I also love a good setting powder — I make my own!

What are your go-to tips for aftercare/maintaining a tan?: After your first rinse, wait at least seven hours before putting moisturizer on — your tan is still developing and will last longer if you wait.
One instance when you should definitely see a spray tan artist vs. using a self-tanner?: If you’re going to a formal event or will be showing a lot of skin, then get a spray tan. For nights out with the girls or casual events, then self-tan all day long.
What advice would you give to spray tan artists who want to work with celebrities?: Make connections. Everyone knows someone so just market yourself like crazy!
What do you know now that you wish you would’ve known when starting out in the industry?: Other spray tan artists are not your competition — we are all in this together!
