(hot) take on the tan: Loving Tan’s Ultra Dark delivers a deep, olive-toned tan perfect for those who love that just-got-home-from-vacay look. One layer of the tan left on for eight hours will leave you around three shades darker, while two to three layers will leave you an ultra dark five shades darker. The color itself is a dark, olive brown tan that makes it clear why Loving Tan has a loyal cult-following of customers.
The tan lasted around five days before beginning to fade, but the fade is a subtle, non-patchy fade.
how we applied: Applied three layers all over the body (excluding the face) right before bed, let develop while sleeping (about nine hours), and then rinsed the color guide off in the morning for a tan that was about five shades darker.
brand background: Australian-made Loving Tan launched in 2011 and has since gained a loyal cult-following for their range of glamorous, quick-drying formulas.
