Review: Bondi Sands Self Tanning Face Mist 1 Hour Express

price: $22 at Ulta.

type: a rapid-developing face mist with a dark brown color guide.

product call-outs: vegan, sulfate-free, cruelty-free

key ingredients: The hydrating face tanner is made with a high level of DHA yet is also infused with aloe to offer a super hydrating tan that soothes the skin.

texture: a mist with a dark bronzer.

dry time: less than 3 minutes

scent: fresh coconut

(hot) take on the tan: Bondi Sands Self Tanning Face Mist is a great option for those who want that just-got-off-the-beach complexion. It delivers a medium tan in a half hour, a dark tan within an hour, and an ultra dark tan within three hours. The key to perfecting an even bronzed complexion with this self tanner is to buff evenly with a kabuki brush or mini self tanning mitt. This face tanner delivers a darker tan than your average face tanner, so if you prefer a bronzed complexion (and fast!) this is the face tanner for you.

how we applied: On the face and neck only: On clean, freshly exfoliated skin, I sprayed the tanner from about six inches away on to the face then quickly buffed with a wide kabuki brush. I followed up by tanning the neck the same way. I let the tan develop for two hours before rinsing with water only then applying my daily moisturizer.

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Face Mist 1 Hour Express

A quick-developing self tanning fact mist with a dark color guide.

brand background: Australian-based Bondi Sands has always been ahead of the (American) fake tanning world and they continue to do so with the launch of their Aero collection. The brand is inspired by the familiar beauty of Australia’s most popular beach, and that is translated into their products which give a tan so natural-looking you’ll look (and feel) like you just stepped off the beach.
