Review: Bali Body 1 Hour Express Dark Aerated Mousse

(hot) take on the tan: I have a major soft spot for aerated mousses — aside from the quick dry time, and super even coverage, I usually find that aerated mousses last longer on my skin than typical foamy mousses. And Bali Body’s brand new 1 Hour Express mousse did just that. It dried super fast, left zero streaks, and lasted for a solid week without fading. As for the color, it was a beautiful golden bronze color, and like other rapid tanners, it allows you to customize your tan — the more layers and longer you let develop = the darker the tan. What really makes Bali Body’s rapid tanner stand out above other rapids though is that the majority of the tanner stayed in-tact even after the first shower. Typically, express self tanners will go on super dark (rapid tanners almost always use more bronzers that traditional eight hour solutions) and then rinse off completely in the shower if you shower at the suggested two-ish hour mark. However, Bali Body went on dark and stayed dark for a week. Perhaps my new favorite product from the brand.
how we applied: I applied two layers on my body using a mitt, and on my face, hands, and feet using a kabuki brush. I applied in the morning, let develop for four hours before showering and the result was a dark bronzed, even tan that lasted for a week. The skin finish was bright and plump, while the fade was very even and not patchy.
