(hot) take on the tan: Vita Liberata’s Fabulous is a buildable tan that gives a beautiful, natural-looking tan no matter how much (or little) you apply. One spritz will give you a subtle glow, while three+ layers will have you looking like you spent a week at the beach. Thanks to its vegan properties, it’s gentle enough to use on the face yet efficient enough to give a long-lasting tan. It’s become my go-to face tanner, yet it also gives an amazing all-over glow. I love to keep mine in the fridge and spritz on my face either before bed so I can wake up a bronzed goddess, or on top of makeup as a set spray — either way it’s amazing.
how we applied: On the body: spritzed on the skin from about six inches away, totally saturating the skin until it was noticeably dewy. Then, used a tanning mitt to blend in circular, sweeping motions. I’ve applied at night to wake up to a golden glow (without bronzing my sheets). After letting the tanner develop for eight hours, skin is about three shades darker.
On the face: applied a layer of daily facial moisturizer, did a full makeup beat, used the water as a set spray, and watched my complexion glow throughout the rest of the day.
brand background: Vita Liberata began as a skincare brand in 2003, explored self tan formulas in 2007, and by 2011 became the world’s first completely non-toxic tanning brand. Thanks to its journey navigating the healthy skincare space the past 17 years, the brand is now known for its non-toxic, unscented, and all around good-for-you sunless tanning products.
