Review: Sephora Collection Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist
price: $19 on Sephora
type: a lightweight mist with a subtle bronze color guide
product call-outs: vegan, and paraben- and sulfate-free.
key ingredients: Mango extract to protect and repair and soften skin, glycerin to promote moisture, and vitamin E to improve skin radiance and tone.
texture: a fine mist
dry time: about a minute
scent: a fresh flowery scent
(hot) take on the tan: With just a few sweeping sprays, your face, neck, and decolletage (or wherever you choose to use it) leave you with a faint dose of bronze that develops into a warm bronze shade. The mist delivers an even (not speckled like a lot of bronzing mists) subtle bronze glow. I prefer to use the mist on my face in lieu of makeup when I need a little glow and don’t feel like putting makeup on. If you’re a pro at applying self tanners, this mist is a great tool to use to contour your face or body. To contour your face, simply spritz right below the cheek bone (where you would normally apply bronzer when contouring with makeup).
how we applied: Held the can about six inches away from the skin and sprayed in circular motions across face, neck, and decolletage.
brand background: Sephora needs no introduction, however, what you may not know is the retailer’s Sephora Collection’s products are always safe, high quality, and decently priced. Its products are often very affordable dupes to some of the luxury brand products the retail giant has on their shelves, and its self tanning mist is no exception.
