(hot) take on the tan: Get Into The Limelight’s Dark Chocolate Sunless Tanning Mousse is a quick-drying, unscented self tanning mousse that actually feels good on the skin — both while it develops and in the days following application. Gone are the days of tight, dry skin as a tan marinates. This is all thanks to GITL’s infusion of nourishing, good-for-you ingredients like Indian gooseberry and goji berry (ingredients that aren’t often used in other self tanners), as well as its lighter color guide bronzers that sit on the skin while its developing.
However, don’t let the lighter color guide fool you, after eight+ hours this self tanner develops into a beautifully dark brown tan that leaves the skin about four shades darker. Another benefit of GITL’s ingredients? The nourishing properties allows for the tan to last a solid week before beginning to evenly fade — no splotchiness here.
how we applied: Applied just one layer all over my body (excluding the face) right before bed using a tanning mitt. Then, used a kabuki brush to apply to my hands and feet for a more careful application. I let the self tanner develop while sleeping (about nine hours), and then rinsed the color guide off in the morning for a tan that was about four shades darker.
