Review: Evolution Tans Deadly Nightshade Rapid
brand background: Evolution Tans’ (@evolutiontans) founder Natalie Finley has been slaying the spray tan game since 2014 and tans in The Woodlands, Texas area specifically since 2018. Come 2021, she decided to evolve the business with the birth of her professional spray tan solution; Deadly Nightshade which she now uses on her clients at her storefront sunless salon in the Texas neighborhood and retails to spray tan artists across the U.S..

Evolution Tans Deadly Nightshade
(hot) take on the tan: The rich neutral brown solution is a rapid that —just as the name suggests —leaves the skin a shade that’s (almost) as dark as the night sky. However, unlike the plant with the same name, Natalie’s solution isn’t deadly (or toxic) at all. Instead, it’s packed with good-for-you ingredients like hyaluronic acid and kakadu plum extract for a tan that’s dark yet nourishing and long-lasting.
We used the neutral brown base solution on a person with Fitzpatrick Skin Type 3 with cool undertones and let it develop for the full six hours before rinsing. The solution developed into a shade that was identical to the person’s tan after they’ve spent a week laying out in the sun. Meaning, it was deep, dark, and richly natural-looking.
The solution itself took to the skin flawlessly and evenly, was easy to apply, and had very little overspray. The tan lasted around eight full days before beginning to fade.
