(hot) take on the tan: Loving Tan launched Platinum, their darkest self tanner yet, in February 2022 as a way to end the need for applying multiple layers of tan. The result? A phenomenal super dark self tanning option.
Platinum dries quickly, is nourishing as it develops (skin is not left feeling tight as is the case with self tanners that have a high level DHA), and it leaves the skin five shades darker — even after the first rinse. What’s more is the tan lasts for six solid days before beginning to fade evenly and non-patchy.
The color itself is a rich, deep olive brown tan that further solidifies why Loving Tan has such a loyal cult-following.
how we applied: Applied just one layer all over the body (excluding the face) right before bed, let develop while sleeping (about nine hours), and then rinsed the color guide off in the morning for a tan that was about five shades darker. Since the solution has such a high level of tanning actives, I applied a light layer of lotion to my hands, feet, and ankles prior to applying the mousse so the tan wouldn’t over-develop in those areas.
brand background: Australian-made Loving Tan launched in 2011 and has since gained a loyal cult-following for their range of glamorous, quick-drying formulas.
